Brian Ó hUiginn is from Dublin and plays uilleann pipes and low whistle. He also writes music and songs, some of which can be heard via the myspace link below. These are from his new album 'Tionchar / Influence'. He has also recorded with composer Roger Doyle (Under the Green Time), and with Jazz/trad band Bevel Jenny (Above the Clouds). 'I love all kinds of music but I'm a particular sucker for melody. I have a huge interest in the music of Scotland but I also like Balkan music, Turkish music, popular and contemporary composition as well as Irish music of course'. You can visit his website at www.brohig.com 'I've been very lucky in 'Tionchar' in having some great musicians and singers perform with me including Pat Daly, Tony Byrne and Oisín McAuley. The singers you hear are Mary Crossin originally from Derry but now living in Donegal (Winter deep inside chorus), and Caoimhe Hogarty from Tallaght in Dublin ('Winter D.I.' verses and 'Dancing The Summer Away')'
